The 4 BEST Bibs for Toddlers & Preschoolers

Toddler’s often become resistant to bibs, yet they still find a way to get oh so messy! Finding the perfect bib that fits them, keeps them clean, and that they will actually agree to wear it (if they are resistant as my messy 2-year-old is) can be a challenge. I’ve tried plenty of bibs for both my kids as babies and toddlers, so here are my favorite picks on the best bibs for toddlers.

Do toddlers need bibs?

In order to keep them clean and dry while also making feeding time more manageable, it is incredibly helpful to have your toddler wear a bib. They aren’t babies anymore, and finding the best bib for toddlers can be a bit more challenging than when they were younger.

Things to Consider in the Best Bib for Toddlers

  • Material – Bibs are available in a variety of materials. Silicone and wipeable plastic are most common. Additionally, having a waterproof material is a nice feature.
  • Size – Some bibs provide more coverage than others. Plus, some bibs are available in larger extended sizes which can be nice for a growing toddler.
  • Easy to Clean – Considering your toddler will wear their bib for 3 meals and possibly 2 snacks each day, I find it important to purchase an easy to clean toddler bib.
  • Style – From smock style to bibs with sleeves to a more traditional bib it may depend on how messy your toddler is as to which style you want to go with.
  • Other Features – Many bibs have a large pocket to catch food as it falls.

Finding the Best Toddler Bib for Your Toddler

Obviously, every toddler is different and some are definitely messier than others. Depending on how messy your toddler is; the foods they are being served; whether you want a bib for home or travel; and if they are becoming resistant to bibs, you can choose the best bib for your toddler!
