With three young kiddos, I have tried almost every toddler cup on the market in the past five years. Ok, maybe I’m exaggerating, but we have certainly gone through our fair share of broken, leaking, and disliked straw cups. So today, I wanted to save you some trouble (and money!) and share the best stainless steel straw cups for toddlers.

We love the Thermos Funtainer water bottles. These are our go-to stainless steel straw water bottles for on-the-go. My kids take them to preschool and they are perfect in the hot car on a summer day.
PROS:
- Vacuum insulation keeps drinks cool for up to 12 hours.
- Come in various designs.
- Covered straw is perfect for packing for school.
- Dishwasher safe.
CONS:
- The silicone straws we find do break eventually. However, straw replacements are inexpensive and easy to find on Amazon or locally at Target.

We LOVE the Elk & Friends cups. We actually have the glass straw cup version at our house, but the stainless steel version is great too.
PROS:

CONS:
- Cups are not spill-proof.
- Cups are not insulated.

Occupational and speech therapists will agree that a straw spout is optimal over a sippy style spout on any toddler cup. I simply went straight from an open cup to a straw cup with my toddlers and never introduced the sippy spout at all as it is not ideal for mouth development.j
