24 Best Baby Easter Basket Ideas for Babies & 1 Year Olds

No matter my kid’s ages, I don’t usually put candy in their Easter baskets. I figure they get enough from egg hunts. However, many are going to avoid candy for a 1-year-old (and definitely under 12 months) and therefore need more ideas on stuffing a 1-year-old’s Easter basket. Whether you are looking for ideas for a boy or little girl, this post has some of my favorite ideas for a baby Easter basket or basket for 1 Year Old.

By the way, if you have an older child as well then you can find more ideas for 2-year-old Easter baskets here.

Easter Basket Stuffers for a Baby Under 1

While certainly, some the ideas for 1-year-olds above would work for a baby, others wouldn’t be appropriate quite yet. Here are some other favorite ideas better suited for younger babies under 12 months.

  • Teethers: We have so many teethers floating around our house for our baby right now and it’s actually pretty handy – he always wants something in his mouth. We opt for silicone or wooden teethers at our house and avoid plastic.
  • Fun wooden toys: This toy has kept our last 2 babies entertained for hours.
  • Tummy Time Mirror: My son has this, and it definitely kept him entertained in tummy time for longer periods of time.
  • Pajamas: These are our favorite pajamas. They are organic, adorable, and affordable.
  • Musical Toy: While I don’t love button toys for the house, this one is perfect for the car. It’s worth it to keep a baby happy during drives.

Favorite Snacks for a Baby or 1-Year-Olds Easter Basket

  • Fresh fruit: Things like bananas and cuties are perfect for including in an Easter basket.
  • Fruit Pouches: Because we don’t buy them regularly, my kids love applesauce pouches and think they are the biggest treat.
  • Yogurt Melts: Another fun snack for my kids at age 1 are yogurt melts or creamies.

Other Easter Basket Tips

  1. Consider their interests: Think about what your child enjoys and try to include items in their basket that reflect those interests.
  2. Keep it age-appropriate: Make sure that the items in the basket are appropriate for your child’s age and development stage.
  3. Mix it up: Include a variety of items in the basket, such as toys, books, snacks, and art supplies, to keep things interesting and fun.
  4. Stick to a budget: Set a budget for the basket and try to stick to it. You don’t need to spend much money to make a fun basket.
  5. Include healthy snacks: When adding snacks to the basket, try to include healthy options that your child enjoys.
  6. Use a reusable basket: Consider using a reusable basket that your child can use year after year or that can be repurposed for something else.
  7. Have fun: Enjoy the process of putting together the basket and think about how much your child will enjoy it. The joy of giving can be just as rewarding as the joy of receiving.
