Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread whole grain
  • 1/4 cup applesauce
  • 1 egg
  • cinnamon to taste

Instructions

  • Whisk together the egg, applesauce, and cinnamon until well blended in a bowl large enoug to hold a slice of bread.
  • Add a slice of bread to the bowl and turn over after it has soaked some mixture. Coat both sides well.
  • Heat a nonstick pan (I use cast iron) on medium and add french toast. Fry until slightly brown usually between 2-3 minutes. Flip and repeat on other side.
  • Slice bread into strips for baby.
